Trustees are vital to the success of an organisation, as they provide strategic guidance moving the organisation forward to meet the needs of a changing society.
They ensure compliance with legislation in all its forms and are accountable for any omissions or breaches that the organisation may commit.
Trustees come from all sectors of the community and bring a diverse set of skills to an organisation such as financial, managerial, personnel management and activity specific.
There some organisational constitutions that require a regular change in trustees, with some roles restricted to a few years of service before individuals have to stand down and be replaced. As a result, we will always have trustee opportunities on the system.
