'As a small group we all get involved in anything and everything – from leading or helping with walks, helping with research projects, manning the stall at fundraising/public awareness events, talking to groups (schools, youth groups, other organisations).
'It is very rewarding to help other people understand how fascinating bats are.It is so interesting to learn about bats but also to learn and understand the environment about you – whether that is the countryside or urban areas (yes, bats have even been seen in St Helier).
'There is nothing to beat a walk at dusk watching bats fly about – a magical experience that I never tire of.'
